at 1:58, there is no way i’m the only one to hear the Game of Thrones theme there

Also, i’m kind of getting obsessed with the Across the stars theme; it gives me chills every time

I remember being really excited for this movie, and being careful not to read any of the track names while I allowed myself to listen to the score before the movie was released. That last track gave me chills.

Before the album came out, there was a rumor going around, that ’N Sync would have a song somewhere in the movie. It was later announced that a music video for a track called “Across the Stars” was coming, and many of us thought that was going to be it. Nope!

Lots of the Right Stuff score rips off the Tchaikovsky first violin concerto, and if you hear GoT here, you’ll surely hear that theme in an earlier movie score. There’s a lot of lifting going on, and I’ll say that it isn’t always a bad thing.
